The CORE Foundations Course is a 7 hour course that is aptly named. After going through this course you will have the Foundation you need to begin to build workouts that are smarter and get results.
Here is what the CORE Foundations Course day looks like.
This starts off every CORE Program and sets the tone for the day.
This section starts off with a review of the 5 Basic Principles from the CORE perspective. It then goes through the 6 new principles introduced by the CORE Foundations Course. These additional principles bring attention and focus to the periphery, creating the foundation for quality movement training.
This section starts by covering some of the concepts found in the CORE Foundations Course. Which is followed by discussions of the equipment utilized for the CORE Foundations Course and the training modes of the two workouts in the course.
This is the first workout of the day. And provides an experiential look at the framework for building CORE workouts.
You'll probably appreciate the break after that first workout. But don't eat too much, we've got another workout coming up.
This discussion covers a lot of ground in a relatively short amount of time. Topics such as proper warm up and cool down, resistance training, plyometrics, core training, balance training, periodization, agility training, and speed training are covered.
It's good this second workout of the day is last. For some, it's a bit higher intensity, just to give you the experience of how easy it is to manipulate the intensity of a workout.
You can see this is a full day. This hands on training is intended to show you how to apply the concepts and principles right away with your clients. There is a good balance of theory and practice in the CORE Foundations Course. It really provides you with the Foundation and the Framework necessary to build fun, energetic, results generating, client retaining workouts. You will come away from the CORE Foundations Course with a bunch of new tools for your toolbox.
